Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 5 November 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Terms of Service of Eachlang. It explains what you may not do with the Service. It applies to you, your team members and anyone you give access to.

1. Only translate websites you control

  1. You may only use the Service for websites you own or are authorised to operate, such as your own site or a client's site you manage with their permission.
  2. Translations go live only after domain ownership is verified (for example through a DNS record or a script on the site). You must not try to bypass verification.
  3. You must not use the Service to create, publish or host translated copies of websites you do not control.
  4. Before verification, the Service may show you a private preview of a few pages of the website you entered. A preview is visible only to you while signed in, is not published or indexed, and is kept only for a limited time. A preview is not a published translation. You must not use previews to copy, share or distribute websites you do not control, or try to turn a preview into a working copy of a website.

2. Not a proxy, VPN or anonymiser

The Service delivers translated versions of verified websites. You must not use it, or try to use it:

  • as an open or general-purpose proxy, VPN or relay;
  • to access, browse or "unblock" third-party websites or content;
  • to bypass paywalls, geo-restrictions, rate limits, logins or other access controls of any website;
  • to hide the origin of traffic or the identity of users.

3. No deception or phishing

You must not use the Service to:

  • impersonate another person, brand or organisation, or create look-alike copies of another website ("clones");
  • collect passwords, payment details or other personal data under false pretences (phishing);
  • distribute malware, or host deceptive downloads;
  • publish fake reviews or testimonials, or misleading claims about products, health or finances;
  • send spam or support spam campaigns (for example translated landing pages for unsolicited bulk messages).

4. Lawful content only

You must not use the Service for content that:

  • infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights (for example pirated software, media or scraped content you have no right to publish);
  • is illegal where you operate or where your visitors are, including child sexual abuse material, content promoting terrorism or violence, or illegal hate speech;
  • is non-consensual sexual content, a deepfake of a real person, harassment, or reveals private information about a person without their consent ("doxxing");
  • sells or promotes illegal goods or services;
  • violates sanctions laws. You may not use the Service if you are located in, or are a sanctioned person under the laws of, a country or list subject to comprehensive UN, EU, UK or US sanctions.

5. No content farms or abuse of unlimited words

"Unlimited words" is offered for genuine websites under the fair-use rules in Section 5.3 of the Terms. You must not:

  • use the Service for websites that mainly copy other websites' content or publish mass auto-generated pages with little value for visitors;
  • use the translation engine to translate text that is not published on your website (for example, as a translation API for other products, documents or data sets);
  • create multiple accounts or Free projects to get around plan limits;
  • generate artificial traffic or requests to trigger translations.

6. Protect the Service

Reporting security issues. If you find a security vulnerability in the Service, please report it to security@eachlang.com. Our security contact is also published at https://eachlang.com/.well-known/security.txt (RFC 9116). We aim to acknowledge reports within 72 hours. Do not access, change or delete other people's data, or disrupt the Service, to demonstrate an issue.

Restrictions.

You must not:

  • probe, scan or test the Service's vulnerabilities without our written permission (report security issues as described above);
  • disrupt or overload the Service, or interfere with other customers;
  • reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows it;
  • resell or white-label the Service except through plans or programmes that allow it (for example agency features or our partner programme).

7. Reporting abuse

If you believe a website is using Eachlang in breach of this AUP, including a website that copies your content, email abuse@eachlang.com with the URL and a description. Copyright notices should include the information required by applicable law (for example, under the EU Digital Services Act or the US DMCA): the work, the infringing URL, your contact details and a statement of good faith.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches. Depending on how serious the breach is, we may warn you, remove or stop serving specific content, suspend a project or account, or terminate your account. For serious breaches (for example phishing, malware or illegal content) we may act immediately and without notice, and we may report to the authorities.

Suspension times. We aim to suspend a project:

  • within 1 hour of becoming aware of a credible report or signal of phishing, malware or child sexual abuse material; and
  • within 24 hours of becoming aware of a credible report of any other breach of this AUP, including copyright notices.

These are targets, not guarantees. While a project is suspended, its translated pages are not served (visitors see a notice instead) and its connected domains may be disconnected from the Service. For Free projects, suspension may apply to the whole account.

Where possible we will tell you the reason and give you an opportunity to respond. If you believe we acted in error, contact hello@eachlang.com; if we find that we did, we will restore the project.

9. Changes

We may update this AUP. Material changes are notified as described in the Terms.
